UCL Nanomedicine 2011
Research Networking event at University College London
11th April 2011
Start time: 9.30 am (Coffee), talks start 10 am
Location: Old Refectory, UCL (lunch and posters in South Cloisters)
Directions: http://crf.casa.ucl.ac.uk/screenRoute.aspx?s=1178&d=192&w=False
The event: Nanomedicine is the medical application of nanotechnology. The event is intended to showcase some of the applied research in nanomedicine ongoing at UCL. Nanomedicine includes the following categories; medical applications of nanomaterials, nano-related therapies, nano-drug delivery, imaging, nano-biomedical materials science, nano-biosensors, molecular nanotechnology and toxicity / environmental impact of nanoscale materials. The meeting will consist of short showcase presentations chosen across UCL and then there will be informal time for posters and networking over lunch and in the early afternoon. The event is particularly aimed at industry who may be seeking to access the huge research base in nanomedicine at UCL. The event is free to UCL staff and any industry.
How to register: One person per group in first instance, ideally the lead academic. In order to attend this event you must:
Register your intent to apply via Eventbrite (http://uclnano.eventbrite.com/) where you will be issued a ticket
Ideally attendees should complete a Networking poster (download) and Technology Exchange Form (download) and return them to usman@ciitlahore.edu.pk or o.wu@ucl.ac.uk via e-mail by the deadline of Friday 1st April (posters will be printed free for attendees). Posters received after this date may not be printed by the organisers.
If you are interested in a 2 minute flash presentation (or longer) to highlight your poster, please also mention this in your e-mail when you complete and return your poster.
Note: this is a first come first served event and only 90 or so places will be available for UCL staff.
This event is sponsored by the MAPs Knowledge Transfer Champions Funds 2011 in conjunction with the LCN and organising committee and Centre for Materials Research (CMR).
